1st Workshop on MANAGING and DELIVERING GRID SERVICES

The First Workshop on Managing and Delivering Grid Services (MDGS 2011), co-organized by Prof. Joan Serrat and other four gSLM colleagues, will be held in conjunction with 17th International European Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing (Euro-Par 2011), Aug29-Sep2, Bordeaux, France

The goal of MDGS2011 is to bring together experts from Grids computing and other e-Infrastructures with experts in IT Service Management in order to present and discuss the state-of-the-art in service management and how to apply these techniques to Grids environments. Researchers and practitioners in the fields of Grid computing and Service Level Management are invited to submit full, short, and position papers that demonstrate current research in all areas of service level management and delivery for grids.

Topics of interest include:
- Best Practice for service delivery, SLAs and SLM in Grids and federated e-Infrastructures
- Challenges in introducing SLM and SLAs to e-Infrastructures
- Problem statements and progress reports on managed service delivery in Grids
- Use cases and real life scenarios that require SLM and/or managed service delivery
- Technical aspects of SLAs in Grids (e.g. tools, automated enforcement, chaining etc.)
- SLA and SLM based trust management including VOs
