The 3th of February 2022, Professor Enrique Villa, former director of Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico, was invested Doctor Honoris Causa by UPC.

Professor Villa candidature was supported by Prof. Joan Serrat, recognizing Dr. Villa contribution to the exchange of Mexican students who came to UPC, and in particular to MAPS, to do the PhD.
